Affiliate of Allied Telesis, Inc (ATI), based in Bothell, Washington, which is a subsidiary of Allied Telesis Kabushi Kaisha (ATKK), a global holding company in Tokyo; according to a criminal information filed in U.S. federal court in North Carolina on January 23, 2008, between September 2004 and February 2005, allegedly conspired with related corporate entities to export controlled communications technology without the required authorization from the U.S. Department of Treasury, from the United States to the Islamic Republic of Iran, as part of an anticipated contract (valued at more than $90,000,000) with the Iranian Information Technology Company (IRITCO) to rebuild telecommunications systems in approximately 20 cities in Iran using iMAPS (Multiservice Access Platforms that allegedly have potential military application) as central components; approximately $2,000,000 worth of iMAPs and related equipment were manufactured at an ATI facility in Singapore for the contract prior to collapse of negotiations, which were allegedly handled through Al-Aali Trading and Investment LLC, a telecommunications company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and operated by a senior official of IRITCO; pleaded guilty on March 18, 2008, to conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, and was sentenced on July 28, 2008 to two years’ probation and a $500,000 criminal fine.
