The Arab Ministerial Quartet Committee, tasked with following up the developments of the crisis with the Iranian regime, denounced on Monday the regime’s continued intervention in internal affairs of Arab countries.

In the statement, the committee says that the developments in crisis with the Iranian regime as well as ways to counter the regime’s interventions in internal affairs of Arab countries were discussed.

The statement also condemns constant provocative remarks made by the Iranian regime’s officials against Arab countries, and expresses committee’s deepest concerns over fueling religious and ethnic differences by the Iranian regime that has led to chaos and instability in the region.

The statement calls on the Iranian regime to stop sabotaging regional and international efforts to resolve the crises in the region through peaceful means.

The decisions made by the committee were based on the opinions expressed by experts, at senior officials level, in order to prepare an Arab mobility plan to counter with Iranian regime’s intervention in Arabic region.

The committee also lauded GCC’s response, including Emir of Kuwait’s letter to the Iranian regime’s president, and called on Tehran to take positive steps toward this initiative in order to strengthen security and stability in the region.

The statement has also reiterated the necessity for the Iranian regime’s commitment to the UN 2231 resolution, issued in 2015, as well as for an effective mechanism to ensure its implementation through inspecting and controlling measures, and to quickly and effectively resume the sanctions in case the regime violates its commitments to the nuclear deal.
