On October the body of Zahra Azad Seresht, a former inmate of Zeinab Jalalian, a Kurdish political prisoner, was discovered at her house in Kermanshah. She was already under pressure from the Kermanshah Information Office for having met with Zeinab Jalalian.
“In the past few years, Zahra was threatened by the Office of Information over telephone,” said a friend of Zeinab and Zahra Azad Seresht. The intelligence agents had suggested that she cooperates with this security agency and appear in a TV interview (denying the news published by Human Rights Organizations regarding Zeinab’s health condition), the pressures would stop and even offered her financial assistance. But she never accepted to do so.”
