The absolute rule by clerics in Iran, known as Velayat-el-Faqih, came about before anyone could put a stop to it. It was never one of the goals of the Iranian Revolution in 1979 when the Shah’s dictatorship was overthrown by popular uprising. The clerical rule has destroyed their lives of Iranian
