A man sentenced to qisas (retribution-in-kind) for murder, has been executed at Urmia
Central Prison.
According to Iran Human Rights, a male prisoner was executed in Urmia Central Prison in the early hours of this morning, March 14. His identity has been established as 32 year-old Bukan native, Nasser Valizadeh, who was sentenced to qisas (retribution-in-kind) for murder.
Nasser Valizadeh was transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for his execution from Wards 1 and 2 of Urmia Central Prison.
At the time of writing, Nasser Valizadeh’s execution has not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
