Iranian Offshore Oil Co. has brought onstream the SIE-E1P6 well at the Esfand oil field in the Persian Gulf.
According to a report by news service Shana, Drilling International Ltd. installed the jackup DCI-1 on the Ilam 1 platform and drove 26-in. threaded conductor pipes for the first time on a field in Iran up to a depth of 150 m (492 ft).
The well is producing at around 2,000 b/d.
