Considering the fragile society of Iran and its rulers’ fears of explosive situations inside and outside the country, which are happening on a regular basis, it is obvious the days of the Iranian regime are numbered.

This fact forces this barbaric regime to make bad and confusing decisions within the whirlpool of different crises.

Implementation of measures like the US sanctions on oil, industrial metals, and the banking system are severely pressuring the regime. History teaches us that the Iranian regime is always ready to deceitfully sue for peace with international bodies, while concurrently challenging international covenants by all means.

They have proved this by exporting terrorism to the region and to Western nations for decades. They deceived the IAEA for years until the Democratic alternative to this regime revealed Iran’s top secret atomic activities to the world.

A threat to resume enriching uranium exposes the truth behind Iran’s nuclear program and shows clearly that it was never designed for peaceful purposes, but was always aimed at the production of nuclear weapons.

The reality is the ruling regime in Iran is afraid of the people and their organized resistance as an alternative for a democratic change.

This reality could answer the question of why the regime has been implementing repressive actions under many pretexts. The answer is that there is a growing resistance in cities of Iran and the regime is attempting to stop it.

On April 19, the Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced a MEK activist and supporters to death.
According to the sentence, Abdollah Qasempour was sentenced to death and eight years of prison on charges of “enmity with God by membership in, endorsement of and cooperation with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran”.
A nationwide suppressive force

Last Wednesday according to Iran’s Chief of Police, a new kind of patrol called the “Razavion” is to be launched in Iran’s streets and neighborhoods.

“An agreement has been reached between the police and the Basij Organization in the context of further engagement and cooperation on the launch of the Razavion Patrol,” Hossein Ashtari, Iran’s Police Chief told IRNA News Agency on May 8.

The Razavion patrols dubbed as “neighborhood security patrols” by Ashtari have been compared to the dreaded “Revolution Committee” patrols active in the first decade of Iran’s revolution. The Revolution Committees were the core of what later became the Revolutionary Guards and were made up of “Pasdars” (members of the IRGC).
The role of Resistance Units

Resistance Units have great communication with the protesters and the ordinary people in Iran. They have expanded their practices in different cities all across the nation according to reports.

These rebellious youth use every opportunity to express their protests and hatred towards the regime.
Officials know that millions of Iranians reject the Iranian regime in its entirety but due to widespread suppression, the formation of million-strong protests is virtually impossible under current circumstances.

So, how are Iranians showing their resistance despite the suppression?
Something new has taken shape in Iran: Resistance Units
The Units which have been formed throughout Iran, are organized supporters of the PMOI (MEK).

The Resistance Units destroy images of key figures of the Islamic Republic, the regime’s Supreme Leader Khamenei and its founder, Khomeini, in public areas.

They also set fire to the bases of Basij forces, part of the IRGC tasked with suppressing dissent in Iran.

Their role is to lead and organize and be the driving force behind the protests for regime change.

They counter the atmosphere of fear created by the regime and are a source of inspiration for resistance
