Defense Minister Benny Gantz said Wednesday that Iran and its Lebanese proxy Hezbollah tried to attack UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon.
Speaking at an international cyber conference at Tel Aviv University, he said, “Recently, we identified activities of Iranian security forces and Hezbollah, meant to disrupt the actions of UNIFIL forces in Lebanon.”
He added the Iranians tried to attack UNIFIL using cyber tools, and their goal was to steal materials about the peacekeeping force’s deployment in the area, which Hezbollah planned to use to their advantage.
