Security guards of Raja’i Shahr Prison, violently raided the Hall 14 of Ward 4, taking five prisoners to unknown locations.
The attack took place on Saturday after a video circulated on social media which showed prison officials after the execution of five prisoners at Raja’i Shahr Prison in the city of Karaj, near the capital, Tehran.
Members of the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) were among those involved in this attack.
The whereabouts of the five prisoners taken away by the attacking security forces are unknown but it is speculated that they are at risk of execution.
The names of four of these death row prisoners are Samad Farhadi, Sadegh Hafezi, Mohammad Chahargoushe and Ali Bagheri.
The video was recorded on Wednesday, August 7, after the executions of Majid Arabali, Mohammad Reza Shekari, Hossein Panjeh-Maryam and Yousef Zakeri in Raja’i Shahr Prison.
Based on the prisoners’ documents, Tehran prosecutor general Mohammad Shahriari – seen in the blue suit – was personally present at the execution scene. The Gohardasht Prison warden, Bagheri, was also present and personally orders the henchmen to carry out the executions. His deputy is also at the scene. Head of the prison security, Vali Mohammadi, seen in the blue shirt, was among the security guards involved in murdering and committing hideous crimes against the defenseless prisoners.
Bagheri and Mohammadi carried out the execution and they can be seen in the footage wearing camouflage military uniforms.
Several death row prisoners were transferred inside the building and a mullah with a list of the prisoners’ names was ordering the executions. The executions of each prisoner was carried out one by one inside the building. After each execution, one prisoner – who had spent the night awaiting execution – was transferred back to the ward.
A refrigerator truck was brought to the area to transfer the dead bodies. A few ranking military officers are also seen at the site.
