Both main political parties in Parliament act like startled rabbits when dealing with Brexit. But at least the Conservatives are focusing on matters close to home, unlike Labour who seem obsessed with the Middle East. The recent election of assorted Islamists and Corbynistas to Labour’s NEC shows the party for what it really is – anti-West, anti-Semitic and supportive of Islamic fundamentalism.

Newly elected Yasmine Dar is an enthusiastic supporter of the Iranian regime. In February 2017 Dar attended a rally celebrating the 38th anniversary of the Islamic revolution in Iran. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani rules a hard-line theocracy which oppresses women and hangs gay men from cranes. Does Labour really want a fan of this regime sitting on its governing body? Given that Dar got the highest amount of votes it would seem so.

I find it disturbing when any woman champions Islamist regimes. Women are treated like chattels and imprisoned for dissent in Iran. While Western feminists circumvent the concept of freedom with their bizarre support of the burka, Iranian women are imprisoned and beaten for wanting to remove their hijabs. And British-Iranian Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe has been unjustly imprisoned by the regime for over two years.

But news of this deplorable development in Labour was masked by another example of Iran’s infiltration into the party. Last weekend Roshan Salih, a journalist from Press TV, live tweeted footage of the meeting in Enfield North where Labour MP Joan Ryan lost a no-confidence vote. Press TV, the propaganda mouthpiece of the Iranian regime, is no longer allowed to broadcast in the UK but this obviously did not Salih stop from triumphantly describing in detail Ryan’s humiliation.

That the derogatory treatment of a pro-Israel MP would be of such significance to Tehran reflects the intertwining of Labour and Iranian interests.

Salih arrogantly bragged that he was doing the job that British media neglected. But Siddo Dwyer, chairman of Labour Enfield North, said warnings were given not to film. Salih claims otherwise. I know who I am more inclined to believe, especially since Salih also works for 5Pillars, an Islamist website. Its deputy editor, Dilly Hussain, has argued vehemently against Prevent, the government’s anti-terrorist programme. By protesting against an initiative designed to protect British citizens from terrorist attacks, Hussain and his ilk align themselves with the hate-filled ideology of Islamist terrorists who slaughter and maim innocents.

Those in doubt of the Islamist leanings of 5Pillars need only to click on to their website where they will see an advert asking for donations to Interpal – an organisation that has been designated a terrorist group in the US but is inexplicably free to masquerade as a charity in the UK.

Jeremy Corbyn also has a history with Press TV, having received £20,000 from them for appearances between 2009 and 2012. After Ofcom banned Press TV from broadcasting in Britain, Corbyn appeared on one of their shows with Abdul Aziz Umar, a convicted Hamas terrorist.

Labour are becoming more blatant in their shilling for Iran. In parliament on Monday this week, Emily Thornberry, shadow foreign secretary, cast doubt on reports of the Syrian regime’s impending chemical weapons attack on Idlib, the last rebel outpost.

Perhaps Thornberry reads only Russia Today and nothing else? What else can account for her not knowing that the day before Syria, backed by Iran and Russia, had barrel-bombed southern Idlib? These bombs are packed with explosives and shrapnel and don’t discriminate between civilians and rebel fighters. Russia has also sent its largest navy task force to Syria. Damascus is obviously preparing itself for a major onslaught on Idlib.

Thornberry tweeted the next day on Saudi Arabia’s recent attack on Yemen. Strangely, she didn’t insist on independent reports verifying this as she did the previous day for Syria.

How much more obvious can it be? Labour is increasingly aligning itself with Iran and taking its side in its jostling with Saudi Arabia for dominance in the Middle East.

Iran and Saudi Arabia have been fighting a proxy war with each other for almost 40 years, apparent on the battlegrounds of Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen. Saudi Arabia has shifted its allegiance closer to Israel and the West in its bid to protect itself against Iran’s aggression. Via its long-term control over Syria, Iran is now aligned with Russia.

Since the Arab Winter, for it certainly was not Spring, a new axis of evil has arisen with the alliance between Iran, Syria and Russia. This is a far more complicated situation than reckless conspiracy theorists and apologists for these regimes understand it to be. Hezbollah, financed by Iran, has forces aligned along the Golan Heights. Israel justifiably sees Syria and Iran as major threats to its security and so has allied with the West against Syria.

Given Labour’s deep socialist roots it is unsurprising it has chosen to parrot Russia’s propaganda on Syria and by default, Iran’s. The grotesque love-in between the Left and Islamism has also shaped Labour’s soft spot for Iran. No wonder Press TV was left to film a party meeting unhindered and that a Khomeinist fan now sits on the NEC.

Whenever Labour and Iran are mentioned in the same sentence Labour engages in whataboutery and accuses the Tories of having dubious connections with Saudi Arabia. But this is not supported by evidence, unlike Labour’s ties with Iran and other assorted Islamists. Unwittingly, or even knowingly for some, Labour acolytes are pawns in the games played by two Islamist theocracies.

Labour’s front bench shows staggering stupidity in aligning with forces hostile to the West. Corbyn has copiously proved that his political and personal judgment is astoundingly poor. The latest revelation that his personal secretary, Iram Awan, was denied a Westminster security pass because of suspected Islamist links is yet another example of Islamic fundamentalist infiltration into Labour. Entryism has a new meaning.

If voters don’t wake up they will sleepwalk their way into electing a government run by an Islamist political party, for that is what Labour is becoming. Britain will then be reduced to being another proxy in the war between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
