Iran announced on Tuesday that 54 people died from the new coronavirus in the country within the past 24 hours. Kianoush Jahanpour told reporters that the total number of coronavirus deaths has now reached 291 in Iran.
Since Monday noon, 881 people have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of the infected people in Iran to 8,042. Jahnpour pointed out that 2,731 patients have recovered from the coronavirus.
