General Mohammad-Reza Naghdi, the IRGC Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Coordination, said in a December 27, 2020 interview on Channel 3 (Iran) that the only fitting revenge for the assassination of IRGC General Qasem Soleimani would be to drive out the United States from the Middle East and to erase Israel. General Naghdi said that this revenge should be carried out by the youth of Iran and the Islamic nation. He predicted that soon, pictures of General Soleimani and Iraqi PMU Deputy Chairman Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, who was killed in the same air strike as Soleimani, will be hung up on the walls of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

Mohammad Reza Naghdi: “The coming hard revenge [for Soleimani’s assassination] should be carried out by the youth of this country and the Islamic nation, in the form of driving America out [of the region] and erasing the Zionist regime. Anything less than that would not be [sufficient] revenge for the martyr Soleimani. People must not ask for a missile to strike here or there. No! America must be removed from the region. It must be erased [from the region’s map].

“The Americans must not write letters to the youth of the region, begging them not to attack them now, claiming that now is not the time for that. The youth of the region know their job, and they will do what needs to be done. In those very days, these people will erase the Zionist regime, Allah willing, and they will hang the pictures and banner of the martyr Soleimani, the martyr Abu Mahdi [Al-Muhandis], and all the great martyrs of the resistance on the walls of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. This will happen soon.”
