Under the slogan ‘Your turned into drones’, the Iranian-backed Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades launched a campaign in late January to support the Houthi militia in Yemen.
The campaign is originally launched with the aim of confronting the heavy losses the Yemeni militia sustained at the hands of Arab coalition forces and the Yemeni National Army in the past months.
It confirms the continued support of the Iranian regime to the Houthis.
Iran’s mullahs support terrorist groups loyal to their country across the region.
They use these groups in exporting the principles of the Iranian Islamic Revolution to regional states.
Iran works to control these states through this strategy.
Money turned into drones
This campaign was announced by Amir al-Moussawi, spokesman for the so-called Sharia Youth Gathering, a youth organization under the control of the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades.
He appeared in a video clip broadcast on a number of social media sites.
“After a series of continuous attacks against the people of Yemen, the honorable sons of Iraq had to support their Yemeni brothers,” al-Moussawi said.
He said his brigades would launch a large campaign to support the Houthis in their fight against the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
A short time later, the groups affiliated with the Hezbollah Brigades began raising funds for the Houthis.
Abu Ali al-Askari, an official in the Hezbollah Brigades, confirmed in a statement on Twitter that his militia had donated 1 billion Iraqi dinars for the campaign.
Hezbollah’s television channels, such as al-Ahed, which is affiliated with Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, and al-Nujaba Channel, which is affiliated with the Hezbollah al-Nujaba Movement, announced support also for the campaign.
