Iran’s security forces arrested civil activist Sayyad Mohammadian at his home in Karaj on Wednesday.
The reason for his arrest remains unclear.
According to IranWire sources, security forces entered Mohammadian’s house, searched, and confiscated some of his belongings.
Following his arrest, officers reportedly contacted Mohammadian’s wife, Rababeh Qolizadeh, and summoned her to appear at the Karaj prosecutor’s office.
Details surrounding the arrest, including the arresting entity and charges against Mohammadian, are unavailable.
This is not Mohammadian’s first encounter with Iranian security forces.
He was previously summoned for questioning by the Karaj Intelligence Department in 2023.
