The pro-freedom Baloch independence leader and president of the Free Balochistan Movement, Hyrbyair Marri, has said in his statement that the Baloch genocide has been going on for a long time in Iran-occupied Balochistan. Only in the past two weeks, the Iranian repressive regime executed more than two dozen ordinary Baloch on trumped-up charges.
Hyrbyair Marri further said that the discriminative attitude of the International Community towards Balochistan has encouraged the Baloch genocide at the hands of religious and terrorist regimes like Iran. In the past few years, thousands of Baloch have been extra-judicially killed at the behest of the Iranian occupying religious regime.
He said that it has always been the practice of the occupying states to inflict atrocities on the local population by massacring them and forcing them to withdraw from their motherland or gradually push them toward extinction under collective and premeditated genocide.
It is clear that no occupier ever needs the people of an occupied nation, but the occupiers always have their eyes on the natural resources of the occupied lands, including strategic corridors. The occupiers constantly use extrajudicial mass killings and genocide as a tool against the occupied nation to suppress any possible resistance.
The Iranian government has been committing the same crimes against the Baloch people after occupying Balochistan.
Hyrbyair Marri further said that Pakistan and Iran want to erase the identity of Baloch by terming Baloch as Iranians and Pakistanis and for this, they have been doing various experiments for the last several decades which include a ban on having Balochi names and the use of various tactics to destroy the Baloch language and culture.
“The occupying states left no stone unturned to make the Baloch nation feel inferior about their identity and culture through their traditional media and school curriculums, they arrested and disappeared thousands of Baloch to intimidate the Baloch people.
Arbitrary arrests, torture, in-custody killings, broad daylight executions and throwing away dead bodies of abducted and imprisoned Baloch are also part of occupying states’ efforts to subjugate the Baloch nation, Mr Marri added”
Addressing the Baloch nation Hyrbyair Marri said, “Baloch nation should also know very well that no nation in the world will support a nation that does not have unity within itself and does not rely on its own strength.
“The ongoing Iranian and Pakistani state atrocities in Balochistan are due to the turmoil within the Baloch until the Baloch nation does not stand up against these atrocities as a nation, Iran and Pakistan will continue to loot the Baloch national resources, they will not stop trying to erase the Baloch national identity, and the world will not listen to the voice of the Baloch nation.”
