President Isaac Herzog said Tuesday the Iranian regime was seeking to “destabilized the entire Middle East”.
Speaking at the memorial service for the victims of the 1982 Lebanon War, dubbed Operation Peace for Galilee, Herzog said, “40 years after the war the threat from the north still exists. Iran is creating chaos and hostility, including through its long arm – Hezbollah.”
“There is no unresolved dispute between Israel and Lebanon. Our fight is against the Iranian influence imposed on Lebanon, and against the regime which continues to spread hatred, terrorism, pain and suffering.”
