Political prisoner Soheil Arabi, Iranian journalist who has been jailed in Iran for four years, sent a message, expressing condolences to the grieving parents of three executed Kurdish political prisoners, Ramin Hossein Panahi, Zaniar and and Loghman Moradi, who were executed on September 8, 2018.

I swear to my mother’s tears, I swear to the tears of your mothers, I swear to every single day you were imprisoned, I swear to justice, I swear to equality…. We will have our freedom, Arabi said.

Another political prisoner Atena Daemi, an anti-death penalty activist imprisoned in the Women’s Ward of Evin Prison, wrote a letter and commended the resistance of three executed Kurdish political prisoners.

In her letter, political prisoner Atena Daemi mocked the clerical regime’s ‘justice’ and wrote, “They have killed our beloveds and yet proudly boast that they have executed justice, a justice whose symbol is not an angel holding balanced scales, but a turbaned man with a spot on the forehead from his turbah, blindfolded, but also extremely blind; in one hand he holds a rosary, and with the other, he holds an unequal scale by a hanging noose. One pan is lifted to the skies and the other is so heavy with corpses that it is buried deep underground. A justice that we have not seen or heard of for 40 years! Has killing three of our country’s young men reduced any pain of our people?”

The execution of three Kurdish activists has also resulted in worldwide condemnations.

“The trials of all three men were grossly unfair. All were denied access to their lawyers and families after their arrest, and all said they were tortured into making ‘confessions.’ In sentencing them to death despite these massive failings in due process, the Iranian authorities have once again demonstrated their brazen disregard for the right to life.”

Agnes Callamard, UN Special Rapporteur on Extra-Judicial Executions, also condemned this atrocious crime against humanity.

“No words of condemnation will be strong enough. #RaminHosseinPanahi execution amounts to an arbitrary killing by the State of #Iran. Given the identity of the victim, this is also a political killing. Despicable.”

Ahmed Shaheed, former U.N. Special Rapporteur on human rights in Iran, also voiced his condemnation in this regard.

“Condemn the politically motivated executions that took place in Iran today. The regime in Iran must be held accountable for its arbitrary executions! @AgnesCallamard @JavaidRehman”

Dr. Walid Phares, foreign affairs advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump during his presidential campaign, condemned this ruthless act by Tehran’s mullahs.

“Three #KurdishIranians political prisoners, #RaminHosseinPanahi, #LoghmanMoradi & #ZanyarMoradi were executed this morning at #RajaiShahr Prison in #Iran. Their execution is a war crime. The #IranRegime will be held accountable by the international community.”

Despite numerous international calls, the Iranian regime went forward with these executions on Saturday, September 8th, sending Ramin Hossein Panahi, 24, Zaniar Moradi, 30, and Loghman Moradi, 32, to the gallows in Gohardasht (Rajaie Shahr) Prison of Karaj, west of Tehran. Zaniar and Loghman had spent more than nine years, and Ramin fourteen months in jail and under extremely harsh conditions.
