Iranian rebels feared sinister “sleeper cells” directed by the regime would “take action” to stop them exposing details of its global terror network in London today.

Organisers of the press conference, held by exiled political group the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), took “every precaution” ahead of the event at a hotel in Westminster, central London.

The purpose of the event, featuring Tory MPs Bob Blackman and David Jones as guest speakers, was to discuss new information about the Iranian regime’s alleged terrorist activities in Europe.

A detailed dossier outlining the alleged role of the Iranian regime and its chain of command in planning and executing terror attacks in Europe and elsewhere was presented by NCRI member Hossein Abedini.

The damning assessment implicated Iranian embassies across Europe and senior members of the regime, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, in terrorist activities.
