In a reaction to the killing of two porters carrying goods across the borders in western Iran by security forces, Nader Ghazipour, a member of the Iranian regime parliament, said that the military and security forces, especially the border guards should be commended and honoured.
He emphasized: “Some people bring the terrorists into the country or take the wanted people out of the country through the borders, and import weapons, raw materials and alcoholic beverages into Iran, so the border guards should kill these people and send them to hell. These actions by the military and security forces, especially those serving on a 24 hours daily basis, should be commended.”
He also called on the regime’s military prosecutor in the province of Kurdistan to thank and honour them instead of summoning them for killing two porters from the city of Baneh.
Ghazipour called “thugs” the protesting citizens in Baneh and other cities in western Iran who are demonstrating in support of the porters, and said: “We should not allow some thugs to pressure the military forces and create chaos in the city by shutting down shops.
On Tuesday, 5 September 2017, people of Baneh closed the markets and gathered in front of the governor’s office to protest the killing of two porters by direct shooting of military forces.
This protest gathering was drawn to violence following the intervention by Special Guard Forces, and according to eyewitnesses, the Special Forces clashed with the protesters and tried to disperse them by using tear gas.
In this demonstration, dozens of people were injured and arrested.
After the protest gathering of citizens in Baneh, a wave of protests spread on the streets of other cities of Kurdistan and civil institutions and internal and Kurdish personalities. But in some cities, the regime allowed plainclothes agents to take part in the gatherings and militarized the cities by special security guards and security forces.
