39-year-old resident of Taiwan; charged, on February 13, 2002, with conspiring to export U.S. Munitions List items to Iran, in violation of the Arms Export Control Act and the U.S. embargo against Iran; allegedly sought, throughout 2002, to purchase satellite images of Tehran, early warning radar equipment, state of the art night vision equipment and other military use technology for export to Iran through Taiwan and other locations; arrested by U.S. authorities in Guam on February 22, 2003 while trying to board a plane to Taiwan with cavity-backed spiral antennas he purchased from undercover agents; if convicted, could receive five years in federal prison and/or a fine of $250,000; also charged was En-Wei Eric Chang.
