Foreign Maritime shipping companies knowingly support Iranian efforts to circumvent U.S. sanctions on export of crude oil, petroleum-based products and petrochemical products (Source: doublecheque.online)

Since the re-imposition of U.S sanctions on the export of Iranian oil, oil products and petrochemical export products, NITC and other Iranian companies from the maritime sector constantly and consistently finds ways to bypass the sanctions in order to continue exporting the said products and generate revenues.

Our Information indicates that five non-Iranian maritime transportation companies knowingly use the companies’ tankers to load and transport Iranian petroleum-based products and petrochemical products at Iranian ports, thus violating US sanctions.

Any government, company or individual being part of the supply chain or supporting the import of such products from Iran exposes itself to US sanctions and enforcement measures (including seizure warrant) , and if by doing so it uses deceptive/ fraudulent tactics it might also be in breach of domestic laws and Int’l Maritime Law
