Shadow Home Affairs Minister James Paterson has called on the Albanese government to list Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organisation.
Mr Paterson pointed out the IRGC is the “principal state sponsor” of terrorism across the Middle East.
“Some of its proxies include Hamas and Hezbollah,” he told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“This is a very bad actor, and we should stand with our allies and our friends by listing them as a terrorist organisation.
“This government is too weak to do so, yet again.”
