The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force has recently conducted a successful test of a newly developed drone equipped with the capability to carry and drop a 7-kilogram bomb. Known as the “Arbaeen” project, the drone represents a significant advancement in Iran’s unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology. The project was undertaken by experts from the Self-Sufficiency Jihad Organization of the IRGC, showcasing Iran’s dedication to achieving self-reliance in military capabilities.

Designed, developed, and produced by IRGC’s skilled engineers, the multicopter drone offers enhanced operational flexibility and strategic options for the IRGC Ground Force. Its lightweight construction enables it to carry a 7-kilogram bomb, which can be accurately dropped from an altitude of 500 meters onto a designated target. This precision bombing capability enhances the effectiveness of the drone in various operational scenarios.

In addition to its bombing capabilities, the newly tested IRGC drone demonstrates its versatility by being able to simultaneously carry and launch 10 small missiles, allowing for multiple target engagement. This feature provides the IRGC with increased firepower and tactical flexibility during missions, enabling them to effectively engage a range of objectives.

The vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) design of the drone, coupled with its unmanned nature, makes it an ideal choice for special operations units. The presence of multiple engines enables the drone to ascend vertically, granting it the ability to operate in diverse terrains and environments. Its user-friendly interface and maneuverability allow for ease of use, facilitating effective mission execution by the IRGC Ground Force.

This successful test of the Arbaeen project highlights Iran’s continuous efforts to enhance its indigenous defense capabilities. By relying on the expertise of its domestic engineers and scientists, Iran demonstrates its commitment to achieving self-sufficiency in military technology, thereby reducing its reliance on foreign imports. The development of this advanced drone represents a significant milestone in Iran’s UAV capabilities and showcases its determination to strengthen its defense forces.

The introduction of the Arbaeen drone with its bombing and missile launching capabilities further bolsters Iran’s ability to protect its national security and respond to potential threats. This technological achievement contributes to the country’s overall defense strategy, reinforcing its commitment to maintaining regional stability and deterring any potential aggression.

As Iran continues to invest in research and development in the defense sector, it further solidifies its position as a technologically advanced military power in the region. The successful testing of the Arbaeen drone highlights Iran’s determination to develop cutting-edge defense technologies that align with its strategic objectives.
