The joint statement was signed by 525 members of the House of Commons and Lords from all parties, in support of the Iranian people’s uprising and Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s 10-point plan. The representatives of the British people emphasized that we condemn the regime’s interventions in the region and in Europe, including terrorist and cyber activities in Albania.

In the joint statement, the 525 representatives of the House of Commons and Lords announced that Iran has been experiencing a widespread popular uprising demanding freedom and democracy for the past eight months. More than 750 protesters have been killed, and 30,000 people have been arrested. While any change must come from the Iranian people and their resistance, the international community also has a responsibility. We believe that the people of Iran should decide their future. Ms. Maryam Rajavi‘s 10-point program, which includes free elections, freedom of speech and assembly, abolition of the death penalty, gender equality, separation of religion and state, and the autonomy of the nationalities of Iran and a non-nuclear Iran, reflects these same values.

As democratic countries, we stand for these values. We condemn the regime’s continued interventions in the region and in Europe, including their terrorist and cyber activities in Albania. We call on the international community to support the Iranian people in their efforts to bring about change and take decisive action against the current regime.”
