The Iranian Regime’s state-run news agencies are reporting that Mohammad Javad Zarif, the mullahs’ Minister of State for Foreign Affairs is scheduled to begin a visit to Finland, Sweden and Norway on August 19.
The Iranian Resistance has come out to strongly condemn this visit by the chief diplomat-terrorist in the medieval theocracy, arguing that allowing him to visit will increase the Regime’s legitimacy and thereby embolden the mullahs to continue their “flagrant and systematic violations of human right and the export of terrorism and warmongering”, not to mention angering the Iranian people.
In a statement, released August 17, the Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) wrote: “The trip will encourage continued human rights abuses, the export of terrorism, warmongering…. This trip only arouses the Iranian people’s anger and abhorrence and must be cancelled.”
Zarif is the representative of a Regime that is the world’s number one executioner per capita, the leading state sponsor of terrorism, the primary source of chaos and crisis in the Middle East, and the main financial supporter of Syrian dictator Bashar Assad in his massacre of the Syrian people.
Zarif also brags about being friends with criminals, like Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, Imad Mughniyah, who was Hezbollah’s second-in-command until his death, and Qassem Soleimani, leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps’ (IRGC) Quds Force, which is designated a terror group by the US.
Zarif, who is under strict sanctions from the US, should also be brought to justice for his roles in committing and covering up crimes against humanity and genocide, like the 1988 massacre of 30,000 Iranian political prisoners. There are dozens of Regime members or affiliates who have not been brought to justice for their crimes, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, President Hassan Rouhani, Soleimani, and Zarif. All should be tried in an international court, as the Nazis were.
Allowing Zarif into these countries may well just lead to more terrorism in Europe.
The Secretariat of the NCRI wrote: “It is common knowledge that Zarif and his ministry’s mission is to defend and whitewash the mullahs’ crimes and to coordinate and facilitate terrorist plots abroad. Just in 2018, five of the regime’s diplomat-terrorists, including an ambassador, were expelled from Europe for their direct role in terrorist conspiracies against the Iranian Resistance and dissidents. Another four operatives, including a so-called diplomat, are in prison and awaiting trial in Brussels for plotting to bomb the Free Iran grand gathering in Paris in 2018.”
