Commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Force Brigadier General Kioumars Heydari says his force has been supplied with various types of precision strike, smart as well as well as long-range munitions as it defends the country’s stability and territorial integrity.

Heydari made the remarks as he inspected a unit of the Army’s Ground Force in the Marivan city of the western Iranian province of Kordestan on Thursday.

He described the defense and military achievements of the force as a “thorn in the side of the sworn enemies” of Iran.

The commander hailed the preparedness and high morale of his forces, stressing they have been making efforts “day and night” in order to safeguard the country.

He underlined that Iran Army Ground Force soldiers “have mobilized all their power and capabilities to ensure the nation’s stability and peace, and will spare no effort in this regard.”

Iran’s choppers equipped with sophisticated weapons

Moreover, the commander of the Iranian Army’s Air Force said the world’s sophisticated military equipment and weapons are now mounted on the chopper fleet of his force.

Brigadier General Yousef Qorbani said the force has dramatically changed the range of weapons in its possession as well as battle tactics, and that munitions fitted in the world’s most advanced helicopters are currently installed on Iranian military choppers as well.

He went on to say that his force closely monitors and detects the enemies’ munitions, air missile systems and possible anti-aircraft threats as it is improving its combat capabilities and military might.

Qorbani highlighted that different aspects of enemies’ helicopter capabilities and performance are being continuously monitored and evaluated, saying, “We are equipping and updating our systems according to organizational needs and operational requirements.”

He stated that long-range weapons, smart and precision strike missiles, radar jammers and advanced night-vision systems are among the military equipment that are mounted on Iranian Air Force helicopters.

He finally praised sustained efforts of Iranian specialists and employment of homegrown expertise for the valuable development and achievements of the Iranian Army Air Force.

Iranian military experts and engineers have in recent years made remarkable breakthroughs in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient.
