Nine of these individuals were ministers or deputy ministers under Ahmadinejad. Four of them are on the US and European sanctions lists (Vahidi, Ashtiani, Zarghami, and Ghasemi).

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), called Ebrahim Raisi’s cabinet the embodiment of four decades of the religious and terrorist dictatorship of the mullahs, whose mission is to counter popular uprisings, plunder national wealth, and resources, step up terrorism and warmongering, and expand the unpatriotic nuclear and missiles projects. But neither the installment of the henchman of the 1988 massacre as president nor the collection of murderers and thieves in his cabinet can save the regime from its inevitable overthrow. It will only intensify public rage and lead to popular uprisings.

Background of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of the Interior, who must be brought to justice before an international tribunal and the Iranian people’s Court:

1. In the past three decades, Hossein Amir Abdollahian has been in contact with the IRGC’s terrorist Quds Force. He has carried out the orders of the eliminated commander of the Force, Qassem Soleimani. During Ahmadinejad’s tenure, he was the Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs and the liaison of the Quds Force with regional countries. He met regularly with Hassan Nasrallah and Bashar al-Assad, and other regime operatives in the region. “On the way to the airport, (John) Kerry called my cell phone,” Zarif was quoted as saying last May. He said that they could agree with the Saudis on a ceasefire (with the Houthis). I said Ansarallah is ready. I am getting on a plane now and may not be available for eight hours. This is Dr. Amir Abdullahian’s number. If you call him, he will tell Mr. Soleimani, who will, in turn, tell the Yemenis, and we will cook something up.”

Amir Abdullahian’s anti-Mujahedin (MEK) hysteria is another reason for his appointment to the regime’s Foreign Ministry. “Westerners should be shocked to know that we will not stay in the current one-way tunnel (JCPOA) at any cost,” he said after the announcement of some sanctions against the regime for the terrorist plot in Villepinte in 2018. “As a safe haven [for the MEK] Europe must now receive a sensible, wise, but shocking message.” He also lashed out at President Mahmoud Abbas after meeting with Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, accusing him of supporting terrorism.

2. Ahmad Vahidi, the Minister of the Interior, is one of the founders of the Quds Force and its first commander. He was the Minister of Defense under Ahmadinejad. The Argentine Judiciary issued an arrest warrant for his direct role in July 1994 bombing of a Jewish Community Center in Argentina. He also planned and commanded the terrorist operation to attack the Khobar towers in Saudi Arabia in June 1996. He is on the EU-US sanctions lists.

As the Chancellor of the Supreme National Defense and Strategic Research University, Vahidi said on January 7, 2019, that the PMOI/MEK was conducting 300 daily operations against the regime in Tehran at one time.
