In connection with an alleged reexport of three U.S.-origin aircraft to Iran in violation of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), targeted by a Temporary Denial Order (TDO), issued by the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), U.S. Department of Commerce on March 17, 2008, forbidding participation for 180 days in export transactions involving items subject to the EAR; TDO renewed for 180 days on September 17, 2008, and for another 180 days on March 16, 2009; allegedly controls and or operates three U.S. origin aircraft that were acquired by entities based in Britain; listed by the European Union on September 12, 2007 as an air carrier subject to an operating ban within the E.U. due to serious safety deficiencies; the ban was repealed on July 25, 2008.
